Whether you are going to the gym or engaging the services of a Personal trainer make sure that before you start you undertake a health assessment or obtain GP approval.
This includes blood pressure, peak flow test ( lung capacity) body measurements, bmi, body fat, core stability test, stretch test and heart rate recovery test. If you don’t test and measure you will not know if the exercise plan is working . Blood pressure test is also stroke preventative.
Some trainers may include other tests.
